A member based financial institution registered under COOPERATIVE SOCIETY ACT
The Tumaini Savings and Credit Co-operative Society Limited was registered on 30th October 1990 and vide a certificate of registration number AR 201 with the objective of providing a mechanism for World Vision Tanzania (WVT) employees to save and borrow at low cost in order to meet the employees’ socio-economic needs. Tumaini SACCOS Ltd Membership has grown from 20 People in 1990 to 1638 in 2023. In the same period, members’ savings has grown from Tsh 2 million to Tsh. 10.6 Billion, assets grown to Tsh. 12.8 billion and outstanding loan portfolio grown to Tsh. 11.5 Billion.

Development loan
carters for long-term financial needs of members and with repayment period of up to three (3) to four (4) years
Construction loan
repayments will depend on cash flow of the respective verified business. Maximum loan amount is twice or thrice depending on the collateral payable in between two to four years.
Emergency loan
repayable within six (6) months, for emergent financial needs; and with a limit amount of TZS 3,000,000/=, regardless of the value of savings of the borrower;
Business loan
repayments will depend on cash flow of the respective verified business. Maximum loan amount is twice or thrice depending on the collateral payable in between two to four years.
